Favorite Literary Quotes

I am a huge fan of quotes because they’re simply words that make an impact on how we perceive different meanings and feelings towards whatever the context may be from. Quotes can be long or short, but it doesn’t particularly matter in the sense that no matter what, they can still make a difference. So, I’m here to show you some of my favorite literary quotes!!

**Disclaimer** These are my own views, thoughts, and opinions, that are solely my own. If you happen to not like a quote, tell me why, or if you do happen to like one of these quotes, let me know in the comments below!

I also won’t describe how I view them or why I chose them because I want you to be able to read these quotes and think about how you feel about themselves rather than me saying how I feel about them and giving you a different outlook before you make yours. But I will be happy if you want to ask me what they mean to me, so leave a comment or contact me through any social media account so we can discuss them!

I encourage you all to comment which one you liked and what it means to you or comment your favorite quotes!

1 – “It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.” – J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter, and the Sorcerer’s Stone

2 – “You could rattle the stars. You could do anything if you only dared. And deep down, you know it too, and that’s what scares you the most.” – Sarah J. Maas, Throne of Glass

3 – “The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.” – Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me

4 – “Just because you can’t experience everything doesn’t mean you shouldn’t experience anything.” – Nicola Yoon, Everything, Everything

5 – “Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.” – Rainbow Rowell, Eleanor and Park

6 – “As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep; slowly and then all at once.” – John Green, The Fault in our Stars

7 – “Listen to the musnt’ts, child, listen to the don’ts, listen to the shouldn’ts. The impossibles, the wont’s, listen to the never haves, then listen close to me – anything can happen, child, anything can be.” Shel Silverstein, Where the Sidewalk Ends

8 – “So, I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we’ll never know most of them. But even if we don’t have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.” – Stephen Chbosky, Perks of Being a Wallflower

9 – “It seemed funny to me that the sunset she saw from her patio and the one I saw from the back steps was the same one. Maybe the different worlds we lived in weren’t as different. We saw the same sunset.” – S.E. Hilton, The Outsiders

10 – “It’s so hard to talk when you want to kill yourself. That’s above and beyond everything else, and it’s not a mental complaint-it’s a physical thing like it’s physically hard to open your mouth and make the words come out. They don’t come out smooth and in conjunction with your brain the way normal people’s words do; they come out in chunks as if from a crushed-ice dispenser; you stumble on them as they gather behind your lower lip. So you just keep quiet.”– Ned Vizzini, It’s Kind of a Funny Story
