Hello All! I cannot believe that another month has gone by, it has been quite the month. I have recently started college again, and been busy doing school stuff. It’s also been quite another rough month for me, so I also haven’t been focusing too much on reading because I didn’t want to force myself to read. But on a lighter note, I plan to read more next month, well that’s my goal.
Also, I haven’t bought or received any books this month, so, unfortunately, you will not see a book haul posted.
I included the rating I gave these books, and I don’t plan on giving all these books a book review but if there’s a book you want me to review or hear more about, comment below!
Number of Books Read: 1.5
Types of Books:
1 New Adult
1 Young adult Fantasy
Pages Read: Approx. 419
The books I read were:
Hard Sell by Lauren Layne
Rating: 3 stars
I received this novel from NetGalley in return for an honest review. I didn’t really like this book all too much, and if you’re wondering why I still rated it a 3 is because it just wasn’t for me, but it wasn’t a terrible story. If you would like to know more, please check out my review underneath the Book Review tab!!
Summary: Matt Cannon is the youngest broker on Wall Street. He has a fling with a woman one night and it makes headlines, which affects his business’s performance, so he must clean up his act in order to save his investments. He has had a fling with Sabrina a few times before, but the two haven’t gotten along well but when Matt approaches her to ask if she’ll be his fake girlfriend for a month, it could potentially lead into other problems.
To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
I haven’t finished this novel quite yet, I have read about halfway through, and have yet to pick it up yet. I have also been annotating this novel, which is my second attempt at doing so. I will update you next month, whether this novel gets finished or not, and what my thoughts on it are.
Summary: Princess Lira is a lethal siren; with princes lined up to wed her. On an unfateful night, she kills one of her own. The Sea Queen decides to punish Lira by turning her into a human, stripping her on her song. She has until the winter solstice to give the Sea Queen Prince Elian’s heart, or she’ll remain a human forever. Over on Prince Elian’s side, he hunts sirens, but one day he saves a woman from drowning. She claims that she can help him find a key to get rid of sirens, but all it will take is trust.
