So, I may have done a little buying binge this month, but there were so many books that I wanted to buy and I had a couple gift cards to Barnes and Noble and a coupon so those factors led me to purchase some. I did also receive a couple of books from my boyfriend as well, I’m thankful for that.

Her time in Taiwan has made her discover family secrets and a new bond with her grandparents. This novel is about finding oneself, hope and romance in alternating in different perspectives.
Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson
Summary: A private school in Vermont called Ellingham Academy has recently opened, but shortly after, the founder, Albert Ellingham’s wife and daughter are kidnapped. Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl

A man appears and tells them they’ve entered a Neverworld Wake, and they must decide who will live and die to escape.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Summary: Evelyn Hugo is ready to tell her story about her glamorous and scandalous life, and she chooses Monique Grant to tell it. She unravels her stories from the fifties to the 80’s, friendships, relationships to her ambitions all through the until the present. The closer we get to the present, the more Monique can relate in some way to her life.
My Plain Jane by Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton, and Cynthia Hand
Summary: This is a Jane Eyre retelling, told in a gothic fashion. It has the orphan Jane Eyre, aspiring writer Charlotte Brontë, and supernatural investigator Alexander Blackwood, drawn together in an epic ghost hunt.
And I Darken by Kiersten White
Summary: Lada Dragwlya and her brother Radu were taken from their homeland of Wallachia, and their father had abandoned them to be raised in another court. Lada awaits the day for her to take action to her plan to take revenge on the Ottomans. Lada and Radu meet Mehmed, an heir to the empire of the Ottomans, which Radu feels like he’s actually made a friend, and Lada may have met someone she can trust, so the three of them come together to fight against the Ottomans.
