Hello All!  I hope that you had a lovely month. As the semester started, it was frigidly cold outside and so classes were canceled because the chance of instant frostbite was high. During those couple of days, I got caught up on my blog, homework, and reading.

I included the rating I gave these books, and I don’t plan on giving all these books a book review but if there’s a book you want me to review or hear more about, comment below!

Rating: 4 stars

This story had a slow start to it, and began to have my doubts. As the story progressed, I couldn’t put it down. This was such an enjoyable book to read, and the characters in the book were well written, but I did want a little more character development. The romance in the novel was a bit odd and forced, but overall, it still was really good!

Summary: Alosa, a pirate captain, is sent on a mission to retrieve an ancient map, and she purposely allows her enemies to capture her in order to search their ship for the map. She has Riden, her captor preventing her from searching for it, but she has plans to find it anyway.

Rating: 3 stars

I really liked really this story, it brought back some nostalgia of stories I used to read when I was younger. I wish that I could have enjoyed this book more but I felt that there was a lack of plot structure and was more so character driven. I have written a review of this book, so if you would like to know more about my thoughts, go to the Reviews tab!

Summary: Mara Dyer had been in an accident that she couldn’t remember what had happened, it resulted in her best friend’s death, this accident led Mara to PTSD and hallucinations. Her family wanted a new start so they moved to Florida, and as Mara meets Noah, parts of her past begin to come back and start making sense again.

A little update, ( I didn’t include the pages I read above) I have DNF’d this book, for now; I think maybe right now isn’t a good time for me to read it. I couldn’t finish this book because it was exhausting for me to focus on everything that was going on, and all the characters and it was confusing me, and it was more work than enjoyable and I don’t want to force myself to read something because that’s not healthy. I will think about trying to read this book again in the future.
