Goth Girl

I drew this when I was in eighth grade along with the “Girl” drawing. I was experimenting with DragoArt but also incorporating my own sense of style within drawing people. I prefer the Girl drawing over this one but I still like this one because it’s still a good drawing for experimentation.

Facial Sketches

I was wondering what I was going to post about for art this week. I ran out of old things to post and was thinking of what drawing I was going to try to come up with the day before. I decided to get out my sketchbook and make drawings that I use to practice all the time when I drew a lot more. I wanted to get reacquainted with drawing and I didn’t want to pressure myself to make a full drawing when I wasn’t use to doing it. I know these aren’t the greatest, but that’s the point; they’re not supposed to be. I’m happy with them because I drew these from memory of how I remembered drawing these types of things and shading them. I want all you to realize that you don’t have to pressure yourself to do something right away, take a breath and start off wherever is comfortable for you.

Personalized Vans

When I was in 10th grade I took a graphic design class. For one of the assignments, we had to design a Van shoe, and as you can see I chose to do a cow pattern. I was obsessed with cow things as it was new found favorite animal. Cows are probably still my favorite animal today. Let me know down in the comments on what your favorite animal is!

Cow Words

Cute cow cartoon
In high school, I took a graphic design class and one of the assignments was to take a word and build what it was using the words. As you can tell, I chose a cow, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

My Mother

In honor of Mother’s Day, I decided to post this picture of her. I painted her when I was a senior in high school. It’s a little wonky, but it’s pretty dang close to what she looks like. I am incredibly proud of how this turned out.

This is another piece that I made with the help of DragoArt. Similarly to the Winnie the Pooh drawing I made, this was a little bit more difficult to draw. The old pencil lines are barely just visible because I remember having to erase a bunch of times just to get this drawing right. This one is one of my favorites from when I drew a lot, way back when.

Abstract Flower

I created this drawing for a Fundamentals class at a college when I was in high school. We had to create a design with four different sections using lines. I decided to draw a flower because I felt it was easier to altercate different designs with the same type of style in each section.

Winnie the Pooh

I don’t remember when I drew this, if I had to guess, it would probably be around 7th or 8th grade. I think overall it’s drawn well, but if I was being picky like I normally am, the hive could be better. It’s just a simple chibi Winnie the Pooh that I found on DragoArt to try an draw.

Abstract Lights

I took a Fundamentals class at a college when I was still in high school. I don’t remember the premise of this assignment, but I assume it has to do with playing with horizontal and vertical lines. I also think we had to play with the width of the lines as well. I think this is one of my favorites out of the projects. I can definitely tell I didn’t use the ruler well, haha.

In honor of one of my all-time favorite animes getting a remake, Fruits Basket! Today they came out with an episode of the show, and I thought to dedicate this older drawing of Kyo. I drew this a very long time ago, it’s not the best drawing but I’m still grateful that I attempted to do it.
